Requirements:
Chartered Engineer with extensive experience in the fields of coastal and maritime engineering.
Strong technical experience in assessment of design parameters, strategic coastal planning, coastal environment, climate change, beach management, the design of coastal & port structures with knowledge of relevant codes, standards and guidance documents, and an appreciation of current developments.
Understanding and familiarity of numerical modelling software. Our client maintains in-house numerical modelling capability and uses DHI Mike software along with other industry standards such as SWAN and xbeach.
Track record of delivery of successful projects and the ability to support winning tenders.
Excellent, client focused, writing skills.
Willingness to travel on short assignments within the UK and overseas.
A valid UK driving licence is desirable.
 
Responsibilities:
Leading the successful delivery of tasks and projects from inception to handover, meeting quality, time and budget requirements.
Overseeing coastal and maritime activities for key local clients, maintaining and expanding a portfolio of strong relationships leading to new and repeat business.
Generating successful proposals that meet client needs and lead to technically and commercially successful work.
Leading in developing our service lines and technical capability, delivering business development targets.
Inspiring and mentoring colleagues in developing their technical knowledge and understanding.
