Production Manager – Budapest

Production Manager for LiDAR and high-resolution image data processing.

The Role:
Our client is looking for a Production manager Data Processing.

Projects for our client are commercial activities aiming at data capture of urban trees using MLS and TLS LiDAR as well as high resolution image technologies in various regions of the world. Captured raw data is transferred to the processing centre in Budapest and processed through multiple stages to extract the relevant tree-related data and specific images. Processing steps include quality control, initial transformation and alignment of raw data, ML based data extraction, validation, quality control and post-sales support. The role requires profound domain expertise in mobile LiDAR and image data processing.

As leader of the processing team in our central location in Budapest you are responsible for the timely, high-quality delivery of data extracted for scanning projects around the globe.

You manage the internal production team and contracted operators, plan the projects, assure delivery deadlines and quality expectations are met. You also align priorities and manage exceptions and special requirements with the regional sales teams.

Production Manager responsibilities
Manage the production process from raw data upload to processed data client delivery.
Managing internal production team in Budapest, international contracted operators and exercising functional supervision over the Singapore processing centre. Hiring, and developing the team capabilities.
Planning of necessary resources to match processing needs in line with the company’s financial and operational plans. Constant improvement of the production process.
Assure timely delivery of high-quality processed data and post-delivery support for clients in different time zones.
Align expectations with regional sales teams, manage special requests and exceptions.

Your profile:
Have a proven track record of successfully managing the end-to-end processing of LiDAR and image data.
Have leadership experience.
Have proven experience in project management, particularly in technical projects involving 3D mapping, GIS, and remote sensing technologies.
Must work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiar with LIDAR scanning technologies.
Have a sound understanding of GIS or 3D modelling software.
Must be fluent in English.
Have excellent communication skills with internal and external clients.
Have a “can do” mentality and you are a “self-starter”.

Salary is 1.500.000-2.200.000 HUF
This equates to a UK sterling figure of £30,500-£44,500 at today’s exchange rate (03/02/25)
Salary is dependent on experience.
