Support Specialist

Our client is searching for a Support Specialist with excellent communication, problem solving and customer service skills, with first-hand experience of working on a Local Street Gazetteer (LSG) and associated tasks and processes to join our client’s helpdesk team. You will be providing front-line support in relation to address and street information, data, and services in line with the agreed internal KPI’s, via email, telephone, online and in person.

Key Roles:
Providing support and assistance to local authorities in the management of their address and street datasets, in line with the Data Cooperation Agreement (DCA).
Providing support and assistance to Public Sector GeoSpatial Agreement (PSGA) members relating to address and street data and services, in line with internally defined KPIs.
Responding to queries from other organisations and members of the public relating to address and street data and services, in line with internally defined KPIs.
Responding to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.
Providing first line support for Ordnance Survey AddressBase product related queries.
Updating contacts and roles within the CRM.
Administering service access requests.
Administering SWA Code allocation, ensuring the formal consultation processes are followed.
Creation and regular review of Frequently Asked Questions.

Willing to assist technical and non-technical users on all aspects of National Gazetteer usage and integration.

Knowledge:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with local government and geospatial data
1+ years’ customer service experience
Extensive knowledge of BS 7666
Familiarity with data entry conventions that support the Address and Street processes.
Experience working with local government.
Experience using SQL scripting.
Ideally qualifications in geography, GIS, or information systems.
Experience in dealing with Freedom of Information requests (desirable).
